Christmas in Pelican Bay

What a fantastic spot to camp. Pelican Bay at Inskip Point was the venue for this year's club Christmas party.

Karen and I arrived a bit early, well a week early, but with such a great view, why not?

Members arrived throughout the week with the majority arriving on Friday, and the fun began.

A cool drink in the shallow water was the go during the day and a fire at night, not because it was cold, just because we could haha.

Saturday afternoon, Santa arrived, showing it's never to hot to put a smile on kids' faces and a few big kids too.

After our adult secret Santa and a few hard-fought for goodies and happy hour, members headed to their camps to dress for dinner.

The theme this year was Movie Characters. We had Wilma & Fred with Steve showing off his legs, we had Marlyn, John Wick, The Hoff, Captain Stubbing, and the Shelia from Tomb Raider to name a few.

Dinner was a big feed of delicious ham and prawns with a selection of great side dishes finished of with yummy desserts, how spoilt were we.

Sunday we had our customary bacon and egg breakfast, which went down a treat and, for lunch, well, more prawns haha.

Some members decided, despite a few little bitties, to stay another day and the rest packed up and headed home.

Thank you to everyone who came along and a big thank you to Steve and Sandra (aka Wilma & Fred), our social gurus who did a wonderful job with organising the weekend.
