Christmas Beyond the Bitumen

Well the year is coming to an end very quickly and the club has shut down for our Christmas break.

It has been another crazy year effected by rain where had to unfortunately cancel a few trips but, we still managed to get in 15 trips including our Australia Day BBQ, great Easter weekend with the Gold Coast Club, Cedar Grove family feast camp, day drives to Glasshouse and Imbil, another successful although wet Fraser Island Clean Up weekend, our big trip out to Stanthorpe for the Corroboree and finished the year with our Christmas Party at Curra.

2023 Events

We have started organising our trip calendar for the year ahead and will have the all trips planned by our February meeting

We will kick off the year with our Aussie Day BBQ down at Golden Beach. 

In February we have a Training weekend for new financial members with our Driver Awarenes Program (DAP) and also our Winch Recovery Course, both designed to give new members knowledge on how trips and recoveries are done in a safe manner.

Also in February the club along with members of North Coast and Cooloola clubs will be hosting our Teewah Beach Cleanup weekend with members from other 4wd Qld clubs attending so should be another successful event. Club visitors are welcome to attend, please register on our event page.

March we are looking at heading out Blackbutt way with a drive through the Gold Diggings

Easter weekend camp will be a great 4 days away.

May will see the club head to Fraser for the 22nd annual cleanup, registration is open now for this financial members only event not to be missed. www.ficu.org.au

The October long weekend is a big trip ip to Charters Towers for the Corroboree

Keep an eye on our events page. There will be plenty of camp trips booked in and, we will have our day drives available soon.

Thank you to all our club volunteers who have helped to keep the club running and put on all the events this year, a great effort indeed.

Finally i would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you all again in 2023
