Christmas Party 2021

Teewah Beach Christmas Party

The club did something different this year and held our party at Teewah Beach with the club booking out camp zone six which allowed plenty of room for our members to set up camp as well as our big club tarp.

The camp for Karen and myself started on the Tuesday as we decided to have a weeks holiday up the beach.

We were joined on Thursday morning by Nigel & Daniel, then after lunch new member Brian arrived as well.

Friday saw a steady stream of members arrive and set up camp and a few went up the beach to Rainbow with a visit to the pub.

Friday arvo we had happy hour that turned into happy evening under the club tarp with the Christmas lights setting the scene and a stary night for all to enjoy.

Saturday morning after breakfast we headed up the bayside of Double Island Point for a relaxing day taking in the view and a swim in the calm waters.

A few headed up to rainbow for lunch, before we packed up the gazebo and headed back to camp.

Our afternoon kicked off with happy hour and our December club meeting, then we played everyone’s favourite Christmas game Secrete Santa and a couple of popular gifts being hijacked along the way(thanks for the lights haha).

Soon it was time to organize our Christmas dinner with members arriving dressed in their Hawaiian costumes ready for tucker which of prawns and chicken and plenty of side dishes followed by a surprise 50^th Birthday cake for Danielle and some delicious desserts.

We also handed our many awards like What Were You Thinking and Oop’s I Broke Something and special awards for the 6 members who have joined our 10 year membership club.

A great nigh of fun and laughter was had by all with a big thunderstorm and lightning storm adding to the evenings entertainment.

Sunday morning we had our tradition bacon & egg breakfast followed by a relaxing day enjoying the great weather.

Sunday afternoon saw the majority of members pack up after a prawn and chicken lunch and headed home, while a few where lucky enough to stay until Monday.
